In memory of my beloved Dad, thank you for all you were to me. This is not goodbye but see you soon when there'll be no more dying or crying but a grande reunion, until that time RIP Dad💔
When I first met Tony he was very involved in the establishment of an exclusive furniture shop in Mairangi Bay —-Tallis House . This was in the 1970 ‘S when Mairangi Bay become the 2nd village in NZ to have Saturday morning shopping . Tony was a strong supporter of the Mairangi Bay Business Association and became the Chairman of the Association . It was during this period that Tony arranged with a British Transport ship (. Named Mairangi Bay ) to become a sister campanion with the Mairangi Bay Village . The ships crew were delighted to join with MB village . Tony arranged for the crew to meet the business association during their stay in Auckland . There was a football game beteeem the MB crew and MB business members and afterwards there was a long lunch at the MB football pavilion It was a wonderful event and Tony obtained a cup for the winner of the football which was the MB crew . Tony was an outstanding business operator a great friend and his ethics were of the highest standing Tony will be sadly missed but his legacy will live for ever . Keith and Glennys MacKinlay
