Poppa you were the kindest man i have ever known. Our pillar, our guide, and our greatest example of love. To know Poppa was truly to love him. His smile could light up the darkest day, and his laugh. oh, that laugh was the kind that made you forget your worries and just be present in the joy of the moment. He welcomed everyone with open arms and made each of us feel deeply seen and loved. Poppa played a huge role in raising us grandchildren. He wasn’t just a grandparent he was a teacher, a protector, a gentle hand, and a strong shoulder. He helped shape who we are with patience, wisdom, and unconditional love. The lessons he gave us, the values he lived by, and the memories we made with him will live on in all of us. His presence was a constant in our lives, his love a foundation we could always rely on. It’s hard to imagine this world without him but I find comfort in knowing that his spirit is now a part of everything I do. Thank you, Poppa, for being everything to us.
We love you more than words can ever say. Until we meet again, rest easy. We’ll carry your light with us, always.

As we say goodbye to not just a father-in-law, but to a man who deeply touched my families lives. He was a source of quiet strength, wisdom, and unwavering support. Whether through his kind words, his steady presence, or the stories he shared, he left behind a legacy of love, integrity, and resilience. Although I never made the greatest first impression, eventually Graham welcomed me into the family not just with open arms, but with an open heart. In time, (a really long time 25+ years) he became more than just family by marriage—Very early he became someone I respected, looked up to. His guidance, his humor, and his unwavering devotion to his loved ones will never be forgotten. As we say goodbye, we carry with us the lessons he taught and the memories he gave so generously. Though his absence leaves a space that can never be filled, his spirit lives on in each of us—in the values he lived by and the love he gave so freely. I thank you for allowing me to care and love for one of your daughters, I thank you for helping raise our children and always being a pillar of support and strength. Method will still look for the bear that you both searched diligently for in the Okato bush. Rest peacefully, Graham Thank you for everything.

Ben Te Huia

Rest in peace now Graham. Thank you for all the hard mahi (work) you did as the Caretaker at Okato College, especially to the rose bushes in the raised gardens outside the Woodwork & Home Ec Tech block. Thoughts & prayers to Marie, Scott, Kelli, Hannah, & your families.
