She was a connection to the homeland but together they were able to create a new home for us here. We are truly grateful for all the love and support you and your family have provided for us Peter. Talita, you were a very special lady dedicated to your lovely family. You were immensely proud of Karl and Hans and always spoke about them when we had a catch up. We had regular Sunday evening dinners when we were all newly married with no money when you and Peter still lived in Dunedin. We have been very lucky to have caught up with you over the past few years, either in New Plymouth or here in Dunedin. Nunia has been a godsend over the past few years and we know that she will miss you terribly. To Peter, Karl and Hans, Talita's legacy will be her strength and love for you all.
