My condolences Carol and family so sad to hear about Dean, we had great memories of growing up around Parkdale Rd RIP MATE from all the Finnerty family ❤️❤️
In Loving Memory of Dean Poppe We are heartbroken to say goodbye to Dean Poppe — a treasured family friend, a brilliant boaty, and one of the most joyful souls to ever grace the mechanical world. Dean had a goofy, contagious smile that could brighten the darkest day, and a heart full of kindness, courage, and laughter. Whether he was out on the sea or lending a hand on land, he lived with purpose, passion, and a love for life that touched everyone around him. The storm that took him was cruel, but Dean faced every wave with strength and spirit. He was truly one of a kind — steady, loyal, and unforgettable. Our deepest condolences go out to his beloved mum, Carol. We are holding you close in our hearts during this painful time. Dean may be gone, but his light will live on in all of us — in every laugh, every story, and every journey that begins with love. Fair winds, Dean. You’ll never be forgotten.
In Loving Memory of Dean Poppe It’s with heavy hearts that we remember and honour the life of Dean Poppe — a beloved family friend, a masterful boaty, and a man who left a lasting mark on all who knew him. Dean was more than just skilled on the water — he was the water. Calm, steady, and always reading the tides of life with a seasoned eye. He had a passion for the sea that was contagious, and he lived every day with the kind of purpose most only dream of. Whether it was helping a mate fix a stubborn engine, sharing a story from one of his countless voyages, or just offering a quiet nod of wisdom, Dean had a way of making everyone feel safe and seen. But what truly made Dean unforgettable was his goofy, contagious smile — the kind that could light up a dock or a dim day in an instant. He was always a happy man, one of those rare souls who carried sunshine with him wherever he went. You couldn't help but smile when he did, and it was impossible to be in his presence without feeling just a little bit lighter. The storm that took him was fierce, but so was he — a fighter, a protector, and someone who never turned his back on the ocean, no matter how wild it got. It’s painful and unfair to lose him this way, but even in this loss, we find strength in remembering the way he lived: full throttle, heart first. Dean was an inspiration — not just for his skills on the boat, but for his character. Loyal, kind, quietly brave, and filled with joy. He taught us to trust our gut, to respect the sea, and to always keep moving forward, even when the weather turns. We’ll miss his laughter, his stories, and his steady presence. But most of all, we’ll miss Dean — the legend, the friend, the family we chose. Fair winds and following seas, Dean. You’ll always be with us — in every wave, every breeze, and every journey we take from here on.
Dear Dean, Thank you for all your love and support over the years we’ve shared. Growing up with you and knowing you as the big brother I never had has been one of the greatest blessings of my life. Your beautiful soul always checked in on me, ensuring I was doing well and helping me become a better bloke. I cherish the memories of the time we spent together, especially those moments when you dropped me off at school. Those days were truly awesome, just like you. It’s heartbreaking to know you’re up in Heaven now, but I take comfort in knowing you’re with the Lord. I know He must have a special purpose for you up there. You will be missed dearly, and I will always carry you in my heart. Please know that my thoughts and love are with your beautiful Mum, Carol, during this difficult time. Love you both. With lots of love from the Shadbolt Clan.
Take flight like the bird that is adorned with the colours of the rainbow Soar high towards the heavens, And as you arrive to the pinnacle of your destination, There is where you may rest. Cloak yourself with my love Follow the pathway to the stars, Fly straight, fly true. Soar high towards the heavens You will be sadly missed by all of us who grew up with and around you. After cheating death quite a few times, mother nature decided this time to take my good friend Deano. We survived many ski trips with our mates. He repaired (or tried) to fix many of the Dizzy Ducks cars i rented out. Our fishing trips will never be forgotten & I dont think anyone will ever party like we use to party, His spirit will never die & his soul will never be forgotten. My deepest sympathy goes out to his amazing Mother Carole who did anything & everything & could not of done any more for Dean through out his eventful life. I won't say goodbye, I'll say until we meet again, so long for now Luv ya Bingo from your big mate happy tim.
