Grandma, I can’t believe it has been a month already since you have gone, it almost doesn’t seem real since it was during the Covid lockdown. I really wish it wasn’t! It also hurt so much more that we couldn’t be with you, and that you didn’t get the intial farewell send off you thoroughly deserved. I am pretty sure if it wasn’t for the Parkinson’s disease you would have made it to 100, even without Grandad by your side. You were so strong and never complained, I really admired that about you and it gave me inspiration at times. Your Great Grandchildren took it pretty hard that they didn’t get to say goodbye, they understood the privilege of having Great Grandparents and likewise yourself having Great Granchildren. I take some small comfort that I got to visit you before they lock downed Maida Vale, and that you knew that I loved you. I told you I would be back straight after the lockdown and just really hoped you would make it through. We can all take solace you are no longer suffering and are free of pain and discomfort. I am ok knowing you are now safe with Grandad Jack and Uncle Russ. Grandma, thank you for sticking around for us! thank you for the many Onaero memories I have, and thank you for the love, contribution and family you made.
