Kia ora Mandy's loved ones. I first met Mandy when she was my lecturer through Canturbury Uni up at WITT campus (I'll always fondly remember her 'Luke' the dog stories) and connected with her more recently when she was with Kindergarten Taranaki and I was a Kindergarten parent and Board member. Mandy was such a colourful, vibrant woman- passionate and strong. I know she will have touched so many people during her life. I last saw her at The Snug Lounge last November enjoying a drink with a friend. We had a chat and I remember thinking how happy she seemed. I am thinking of you all during this incredibly sad time. Kia ora Mandy's whanau I met Mandy (& Luke) when we flatted together some 20 years ago. She was one of the most cheerful, vibrant, big-hearted, confident, generous people I have met ... and a blast to share a house with. I would bump into her occasionally over the years since and she was always the same - smiling, happy, positive. I couldn't help but feel upbeat after having a chat with Mandy, even if it was only for a few moments. She was one of a kind - amazing smile, awesome laugh and just great to be around. There are many people who know Mandy so much better than I and I am deeply sorry for your loss. I hope there is some comfort in knowing that Mandy made many lives richer just because she was Mandy. Condolences to you all. Rest easy, Mandy. Arohanui, Kerri Rattenbury

Kia ora Mandy & Whanau I had the privilege of meeting Mandy in 2002 at the beginning of my Early Childhood Journey. She helped me find care for my son at Polytots and then was one of my main tutors for three and a half years. Mandy's sense of colorful style will always stick out to me and her passion and deep knowledge for all things Early Childhood Pedagogy. Thank you Mandy for sharing your wisdom with our class of 2005 and bringing such creativity and professionalism to the Taranaki wide sector. We'll miss seeing you during your pop ins to ABC Educare. Such a loss of a beautiful girl. We will always remember that killer forehand on the tennis court especially on the grass when it didn't bounce and no opposition could ever get it back! Jo will never forget the fun Taranaki Rep trips full of mischief and full of Mandy. Amazing smile, always cheerful. Sadly missed.

Mandy was an amazing boss and colleague. She was a fierce advocate for children and the sector. Mandy aways had time to support a colleague and give sound advice. She influenced a great number of early childhood teachers and her passion will live on in their work. Haere, haere, haere.
