Christine, Karen, Karl & Glenn and families. Really saddened by the news of 'Uncle' Rex passing. It was wonderful to chat with you Karen and its times like these where distance becomes reality- we would have liked to have been with you all to celebrate Rex. I have so many memories of life on the farm and the many hours in the milking shed, feeding calves, all the farm machinery - the old days of making silage and the mighty old Landrover!! I cherish those memories as I know you all do. I'll be in Taranaki late Feb and look forward to stopping in and catching up. You are all in our thoughts & prayers as you heal from this loss. God Bless. Richard & Barbi Verney. Asheville, NC USA.

Dear Christine & family, I just wanted to say how much fun Rex and I had 'running' the ski field in the 80's & 90's. Whenever Rex was around, any problems were sorted out efficiently and normally in a comical manner. The trips up and down the mountain track in his trusty landrover were great fun. My memories with Rex on the mountain will remain with me for life. To you and your family, thank you for sharing him with us. Thinking of you all during this sad time. Neville Christiansen

Oh my dear Chris, what a shock I just got when checking the notices online from Gold Coast, to learn that you have lost Rex. In our special catchup two months ago, I was aware of his health issues but was hopeful for his recovery. My heartfelt sympathy & love goes to you & your beautiful family at this sad time. I am sorry I can't join you to farewell Rex but if it is being live streamed I would join you that way? Our friendship has been over many years, with many special memories & you are so much in my thoughts & prayers.
