In loving memory of a dear sister-in-law, wife to our brother Cliff, loving mother to daughters Carole and Leigh, grandmother, great grandmother and a dear friend to many. You will always be remembered for a life full of love, dedication and friendship to your families in Holland, UK and New Zealand, may you rest reunited with Cliff in eternal peace.
Aunt Annie was a wonderful person. All of us, including our children, have taken her into our hearts our entire lives. Bram (our oldest son) cried so much when Aunt Annie left after a visit from the Netherlands. He would never see her again. Later she came back 2 more times. And we were able to make beautiful memories. Fortunately, we were also able to make beautiful memories in New Zealand. Aunt Annie will always live on in our hearts. Thank you for that.
Remembering Auntie Jo with love, as one of her bridesmaids was a very special occasion and seeing her on several visits to England was always a pleasure she will be greatly missed with love always Sandra & Rikk. xx
It is with a heavy heart that I write this message. Jo was a wonderful neighbour, friend and a very special person in our boys lives. Jo was such a wonderful support for us with our young family, and I enjoyed many cups of coffee, biscuits and good chats with her. We will always carry fond and special memories of Jo, and remember her warm smile and generous spirit. Our thoughts and condolences go out to Jo’s family at this sad time. Lots of love, Donna, Guy, Arnie and John
I loved both Jo and Cliff. They were in my life at 2 special times. Once when I was small and was going to ballet with Carol. We became good friends and I spent grand playdates at her house and some memorable holidays at Pakiri. Jo taught me to crochet and I have loved it ever since. Years later I took my family back to Pakiri never expecting that Jo and Cliff would still be holidayng there. We got our own caravan and spent over 12 years holidaying with our kids. We had great times visiting each other, lots of interesting stories and laughter. Jo was always looking out and taking care of the kids of the camp, teaching them to bike and knit and crochet. They all loved her. Thanks you so much Jo for being a special part of my life. I will always remember you with great fondness and love. Megan
My condolences to you all. What a time of reflection. Our family first met Cliff and Jo at their beloved Pakiri Beach. The girls were just little then and Jo made us all Oliebollen... Ollybolys we called them, on New Years eve. I remember now an image of Jo carrying one of my babies on her back, as we all walked back from the beach. Great times Rest in peace Jo. X
Our condolences are with all the family at this sad time. Auntie Annie and Uncle Cliff never forgot their families in England and Holland. They would make the long journey to share family celebrations or just to spend time with the families of their respective brothers and sisters. Diny, my mother, was Annie’s eldest sister. I have fond memories of an easy going , ‘smiley’ Aunt. Mum was well cared for by Annie, during her stay in New Zealand. Rest in peace Tante Annie.
Jackie and I remember fondly the time we spent with Jo and Cliff and all the family in 2003 when we visited over the Christmas period. Jo and Cliff were so welcoming in their house and provided clothes when our luggage did not arrive. A great Christmas celebration then a trip to their caravan where Jo took us to the beach to collect mussels, which Cliff cooked and we ate them together. What great memories. Jo will be sadly missed as was Cliff. They are now back together. Love and condolences to all the family. Loving Regards Ray and Jackie Hayden.
Remembering happy times with Jo and Cliff and the family in Auckland in my younger travelling days. Jo's warmth and welcome were always so much appreciated, as were the 'Afghan' cookies which I still have the recipe for. Joyful times spent at the caravan too, and here in the UK. Thinking of you all. Love Andrea and Simon x
