Betty died peacefully on 30 June 2025 at North Shore Hospital. Aged 86 years.
Dearly loved wife of the late Ray for over 60 years.
Much loved mother to Raewyn, Cheryl, Stephen and Grant and mother-in-law to David, Kellie and Jo. Cherished Grandma to Alice, Emily, Jack, Tyler, Connor, Riley, Kate, Tom and Meg. Loved Grandma-in-law to Tiana and Sephrah. Special Great Grandma to Ada, Harley and Georgie.
A service to celebrate Betty's life was held at Wellsford Community Centre, corner of Matheson Road & Rodney Street, Wellsford on Tuesday, 8th July at 11:30am, followed by private cremation.
In lieu of flowers, the family would welcome donations to the Heart Foundation NZ (see the link below).

I have many fond memories of celebratory times with Aunty Betty and the family initially in the Edwards farmhouse and then in Wellsford. We were always outside having adventures and maybe even trying to grab something from the garden. Big hugs to Raewyn, Cheryl, Stephen and Grant and your families. May your fond memories comfort you!

Loved and respected sister and sister-in-law of John and Rosemary Greenwood, Gloria and Les Wilmot, Margaret and Don Matheson and Janet and Bob Exon. A special Aunty Betty to all her nieces and nephews. Will be missed so much by all of us.
