We regret that we could not attend today. Our thoughts are with you and your family. Diane & Craig Taylor
I met Bruce during the mid 1990's when I was trying to find someone to write a computer program that would fix a problem with our business. The previous programmers had had no success with writing it even after two years of trying. Bruce phoned me after a fortnight and said he was ready to install the program. I tried to ask him for more details so that I could understand what part of the program he was referring to. He said "All of it." I felt that the conversation was going nowhere but I would have a look at his program anyway. Bruce turned up the following day with a big smile on his face and asked me where the server was and I said we don't have a network. He copied the program onto one of the computers and then showed me what we came to know as "Bruce's magic", which would completely change our business practices. He installed the program and connected the computers to form a network and then installed the additional features that allowed us to calculate GST and Income tax. In a flash he had created a robust and easy-to-use software program which knitted together our production and accounting functions. Over 30 years later we are still using it. We thank you Bruce for all that you have done and continue to do for us, as your little program remains an essential part of our life. Its Bruce's enduring legacy, as we think of him often with affection and gratitude. With love Fred and Eileen
A pleasure to have known Bruce and indulge periodically in a variety of lengthy discussions.
