I had the privilege taking care of Lenora at Elmwood Village. I was sadden to hear her passing. I'm glad I got to see her while I was on maternity leave. I told her before I left.. " I'll bring baby to see you". And I did. And that was the last time I saw her. I'm going to miss our laughs and girly conversations. Fly high darling. I will miss you very much. Destiny. Xx

Lenora put me up once a week while I was at Waikato Uni to save me driving home late at night when I had classes that finished at 9pm. It was a time to connect and I will always cherish our conversations. Lenora and Trevor also took my parents for a drive in their veteran cars, when my mum and dad were here years ago. It was something they talked about for a long time and my dad still mentions from time to time! Lenora never minced her words and were always confident in her choices and opinions. Her selfassurance was and will forever be inspiring to me.

Mum Your hand in mine I am walking with you, Hand in hand, Held securely while we cross this land. Deep and wide is this desolate valley, The light is dim and the backdrop eerie. Blades of grass are disturbed under our feet, We are gathering pace, but I am scared and weak. Crackle, electric strength drizzles over me, Warmth and hope encircle me trees. You have given me courage in my stumbling, Your power is real and Your mercy is near. We reach the end of the valley and you start to disappear, Your camouflage hems you in and you are no longer there. But I still feel your Hand so tight and your breath blows through my hair. You have given me the gift of faith, when I cannot see I know you are secretly there. Isaiah 41:13 I love you to the end Fly free and wide.
