Mum is home resting peacefully. On behalf of Cheetham/Waretini whanau, we would like to share our plans for Mum. From Saturday 5th July 2025 and Sunday 6th, we would like to invite immediate whanau and close friends to pay respects and spend some time with Mum/ Edith. From 8am Monday 7th and Tuesday 8th we would like to invite the public and those who knew Edith to pay their respects at that time. Please feel welcome to come to 85 Egmont Street, Patea. Edith's Tangi will be on Mums Birthday, Wednesday 9th of July 2025. We will be departing from mums shop at 11am, heading to Patea cemetery to lay Mum to rest. Service, kai and refreshments will follow at the Patea Ruby Club to celebrate mum's life. Please come and celebrate and share a part of mums life with stories and laughter. Anyone who would like to give a koha is more than welcome to.

Kelly and the Hardings crew. We couldn't of asked for anyone better to care and look after my mother inlaw. You guys made us feel loved and welcomed. You made us so comfortable with the process of everything and our hearts were so content with how you looked after us and mum from start to finish. Its bitter sweet knowing our little journey with you has ended, but its a memory we will cherish forever, you guys took a piece of our heart and mended it, in such an emotional time, that we are forever be greatful for. We couldn't thank you enough, and we wish you all the best in all years to come. Lots of love Cheetham/Waretini Whanau ❤️
