GARDINER, Linda Kathryn (nee Hawkins):
Peacefully at Taranaki Base Hospital on Wednesday, 24 November 2021. Beloved wife of the late Ashley. Sweetest, kindest, and most loving mum to Shane and Leigh, Mark, Nicole and Rod. Thoughtful and caring Nana Lindy to Paige, Koby, Elle, Monique, Jessie, Justin, Deja, Trey and Xavier. Nana Nana to Nyomi.

A service to celebrate Linda’s life will be held at Eagars Te Henui Chapel, 174 Lemon Street, New Plymouth on Wednesday 8 December 2021 at 10.30am followed by her burial at Awanui Cemetery. Due to current Covid-19 restrictions to attend Linda's funeral you MUST present your My Vaccine Pass on entry.

To Shane, Mark, Nicole, their partners, their children, and the wider Gardiner and Hawkins family, please accept my sincerest condolences on behalf of the Russell family. Linda, my "honorary godmother" - self-proclaimed, and thoroughly deserved - I will never forget the loyalty and support you gave me and my family. You were one of the most beautiful people I have ever known, inside and out, and you taught me a lot - more than you knew. And yes, I still owe you a dinner.
