To Pat & family. Sorry to hear of Mick's passing. He was an awesome guy to have worked with. I keep very found memories of the time I had spent with Mick. R.I.P. Mick.

It was awesome to be able to watch the funeral from so far away! The service was exceptional and loved the stories of the Milford Track and the memories it brings back of the O’Connor family and Mick. Mick was a Rotarian; the rotary club Mick was part of and his amazing family have impacted my life in so many ways I’m forever grateful!!!! The generosity, kindness, laughter and fun we had is truly missed. Mick always cracked me up. The miles apart don’t make it easy to visit but our last visit in 2016 was our last and I’m grateful for that. Mick was the man! I’ll forever miss him and just wish; like his best man said make more of the (-) dash but life does get in the way. Mick I love you sir and until we meet again. Rest easy……. Pat & family I look forward to our next visit soon. ❤️❤️

I am so grateful that I was blessed to have been adopted into the O'Connor family for a few months in 1985 which led to a lifetime of amazing memories and life lessons that were so generously shared with me. Mick was an instant father to me who protected me, introduced me to adventures and made me feel part of the family from the second we met. Pat (mum), I will always treasure that you and Mick(and Daniel) travelled to Canada to be with me on my wedding day and came back to meet my first 2 children. While we are oceans apart, I have always felt your continued love from afar. Jo, Bridget, Bec, Daniel and Pat: I hope you can feel my love for you all now as well. I I can still hear Mick's wonderful laugh as he made the best of every situation and embraced life and all of its circumstances head on! I loved that the recessional made you dance and tap your toes. I have no doubt Mick was dancing along with you.

Thinking of you all at this difficult time. Our heartfelt condolences to you all, wishing we were able to pay our respects in person. Mick will always hold a special place in our hearts, with his sense of humour, kindness and enjoyment of life. We will miss him, and we know he will leave a gap in many lives.
