BARRS, Eileen Zenobia Patricia (nee McCarthy). On 13th October 2025 passed away peacefully; aged 92. Dearly loved wife of the late Robert (Bob). Much loved mother and mother-in-law of Louise and Barry, Linda and Arthur. Treasured Nana of Robert and Chantelle, Zoe, Ben and Luna, Dylan and Amy, Tui and Trey. Great-Nana Ning Ning of Neveah, Trey, Wynter, Jaxson, Maki, Zenobia, Arthur, and Hawaiki. 'Together again with Dad' A service will be held at the Chapel of Morris and Morris Funerals (entrance 17 Western Hills Drive) Whau Valley, Whangarei at 10:30am on Thursday 16th October 2025 followed by private cremation. Beautiful service. Love and sympathy to you all
Eileen was a staunch friend who took me under her caring wing when I was a young struggling mother. She had a wacky sense of humour and was always up for an adventure, big or small. I will miss her presence in my life.
All that this beautiful soul brought to this world lives on in the generations left behind. I didnt personally get the honor of meeting Eileen but through my best friend Tui and her family i was able to see the beautiful life she lived, and all that she stood for lives on.
We will miss you Dearly Nana Eileen, May your Legacy of Strength, Kindness, your sense of adventure, Love for your Family, and perspicacity be remembered and continue in your Family whom you leave behind. We Love you Forever, may you rest Peacefully in Love. Finally together with Poppa now, and in the arms of the Angels 🕊🤍💜 Always in our Hearts, Love you Nana Eileen ⚘💜
