Bereavement pānui on behalf of the Anania whānau regarding the loss of their beloved Matua, Wynyard (Boss) Anania who sadly passed away on Thursday 10th July 2025 in Auckland. Wynn is currently laying in state here at Haven Falls Funeral Home where family are welcome to pay their respects on Saturday 12th July 2025 either at 12pm or 3pm. On Sunday 13th July 2025, Wynn will then head to Hoani Waititi Marae to lay in state for the duration of his tangihanga. The whanau have advised us that the funeral service will be held at Hoani Waititi Marae on Monday 14th July 2025 followed by a private cremation at The North Shore Memorial Park Crematorium. Both Sunday and Monday times are yet to be confirmed by the whanau. Once this has been confirmed, then we will update our panui accordingly.

To a great man, Wynn, who reached so many in ways that lead to a lifetime of learning. The amazing way his passion for music wove its way into so many lives, who shared his mentoring skills to help and develop us all. He was the for Maori by Maori man. He had expectations! You never wanted to get it wrong 😑 but he cared, he wanted the best for you and yours. It’s with a very heavy heart that I wish you eternity in the heavens of music. Gone too soon! Thank you 💜 you will be forever held dear💜
