Alan Ian Dunseath

Also known as "Ian"

14 November 193816 July 2025

A man of great warmth and kindness, whose gentle spirit touched the lives of all who knew him.

Ian had a unique ability to make everyone feel special, often sharing his wisdom and humor in the most unexpected ways (giving advise to those, even if they didn’t require it)

His passion for life and his generous heart left an indelible mark on the community around him.
Whether it was through his hobbies, or simply in the everyday moments shared with friends and those around him, Ian's legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.

As we remember Ian, let us celebrate the beautiful memories he created and the love he shared. He now rests peacefully, forever in the hearts of those close to him.

In this time of sorrow, we find comfort in knowing that his spirit will live on in the stories we tell and the love we carry forward.

Forever with love in our hearts

We said goodbye to Poppa recently, and the ache of his absence is already deeply felt. Poppa was always there — a constant, happy face with a quick smile and a tall tale ready to tell. He had a spark in his eye, a love for life, and a work ethic that never wavered. He didn’t suffer fools lightly and had a keen sense of who he liked and who he didn’t, but to us — his family — he was nothing but love, warmth, and laughter. He faced his share of challenges in life, but you’d hardly know it. Poppa had a way of making you feel like everything would be okay, just by being in the room. He was there for my big moments, and I was always so glad to see him in the crowd or hear his voice cheering me on. The children and I will miss him more than words can express. His stories, and his steady presence — they’ll live on in our hearts and our memories. As we think of Sharran and his children during this difficult time, we also find comfort in the thought that Poppa is reunited with Dad now — sharing stories, sharing laughs, and watching over all of us. We love you, Poppa. We miss you. And we’ll carry you with us always

Ian was truly one of the kindest, most welcoming people we have ever known. He had a way of making you feel comfortable and accepted, no matter who you were or where you came from. That kind of warmth is rare, and it’s something we will always remember about him. We will miss his smile. His quiet strength. But what Ian gave us doesn't end here. It lives in the stories we tell, in the way we treat each other, and in the way we try to show up — fully, sincerely, and without pretense — just as he always did. Rest gently, Ian. Thank you for the grace you gave to this world. All our love, Sharon & family
