Great memories of a wonderful man….. lived unapologetically on his own terms when I knew him well (many years ago now) but always kind, caring, considerate, an awesome friend, funny and super well read and intelligent. Like Mike, I also remember singing American Pie with Drummond on multiple occasions from go to whoa. The Ave, Ascot and beloved Wool Bar greatly benefitted from his loyalty…. As did we all. With love, respect and condolences to Drummond’s partner, family and friends, Suzie Miller

Have so many memories of times and rugby bus trips we had in Winton. You were a character larger than life and a loyal friend when needed. Tried to find you online in later years but no luck. Cheers!
It was a big shock to hear of Drummond's passing. Drummond was a great mate and was the best man at my wedding. He also lived in the back room of my house for about 3 years up until when we moved away from Invercargill in 1996. He was such a great guy and would do anyone a favour. He had a great sense of humour and he loved his music. With a few beers in him, he could sing every word of American Pie, which I heard many times. Back then, he never drove a car and knew all the taxi drivers in Invercargill. You'd often hear him pull up in a taxi and calling the taxi driver 'cobber' and wishing them a good night before heading to the kitchen to cook up a feed of eggs that he called 'cackle-berries'. My wife and kids really loved him too and for a while - he was another member of our family. What a privilege to have been a part of Drummond's life and to share ours with him. He will be forever in our thoughts and we extend our deepest sympathies to his family and friends.
My dear friend, may the wind blow your sails into the magic in which you dear not believe. I hold you in my heart forever and always you will always be thought of today tomorrow and always. God bless.
I was very saddened to hear of Drummonds passing, I got to know him many years ago whilst in Invercargill playing rugby with Maris. He was a gent, great fun and a great neighbour. May he rest In peace.
Really sad to read this. Drumond was one of the nicest people you could ever come across in your life. I only ever knew him as ‘Drumond’ didn’t even know his real name lol! Heartfelt sympathy to his family and closest friends. May you rest in peace Drumond!!
