Dearest Louise and family, We heard today of the sad passing of Phil. We have many special memories of our El Rancho weekend holidays, Phil's BBQing skills and you both being the "witnesses" at our wedding. all those years ago. We may have lost touch over the years, however we have seen Phil during some of the Feilding Christmas Parades ... such dedication. You can take the man out of Feilding but not Feilding out of the man! Please know that we are thinking of you all at this difficult time Louise. Take care. Lots of love. Laura, William, Chris and Delia xxxx

Dear Phil, Sorry we couldn't be there in person today. What a fitting celebration of life for a legend of a man. Phil your generous and unselfish nature will remain with all that loved you. You had a big kind heart. Such a cruel blow getting such a horrible disease that you didn't deserve and so hard to see you struggling so much. We will remember you with love. Alley and Ross Fairless xx

Be at peace Chewie, I will never forget the time we spent up in race control. From teaching me how to handle radio calls, to staying calm under pressure, and making it fun for everyone. I will never forget you, I carry those skills, stories, and honesty you patiently gave me though into my everyday life. Goodbye Chewie

Rest In Peace Uncle Phil. You were a great man who proudly showed off the Newton genes of being caring, loving and odd (but in a comforting way). More importantly, you were never afraid of showing off the true "Newton" gene of embarrassing family and friends with any oppurtunity that presents itself! To Louise, Tracey-Leigh, Ashleigh and all family and friends, I send my condolences with all my love from across the detch! (my terrible attempt at the NZ accent)

My Darling husband. Gone too soon but no more suffering. You were my friend, my hero, my love for 32 years. You were there for me when we had hard times, good times, sad times, sad times but you always put us first. You were the greatest support, a role model and loving grandad for Ashleigh and a wonderful dad for Tracey-Leigh. I will never forget the holidays we had, the wonderful memories we made together. Life will never be the same but I will be ok. We will continue to keep your memories alive. You rest now my darling, the pain and suffering has gone. Until we meet again, I love you mostestestestestestestest. (we always said this to each other all the time). Your ever loving wife/partner in crime Louise.
