Dearest Louise and family, We heard today of the sad passing of Phil. We have many special memories of our El Rancho weekend holidays, Phil's BBQing skills and you both being the "witnesses" at our wedding. all those years ago. We may have lost touch over the years, however we have seen Phil during some of the Feilding Christmas Parades ... such dedication. Be at peace Chewie, I will never forget the time we spent up in race control. From teaching me how to handle radio calls, to staying calm under pressure, and making it fun for everyone. Rest In Peace Uncle Phil. You were a great man who proudly showed off the Newton genes of being caring, loving and odd (but in a comforting way). More importantly, you were never afraid of showing off the true "Newton" gene of embarrassing family and friends with any oppurtunity that presents itself! To Louise, Tracey-Leigh, Ashleigh and all family and friends, I send my condolences with all my love from across the detch! (my terrible attempt at the NZ accent)
