The tributes we were asked to write, and I refer to Carole’s immediate family and cousins, were barely mentioned during the funeral and I must say that many members of the Sinnema family, the Weeks family and of course the Hilliers and Verry’s have, since losing our much loved Carole, have been reminiscing and enjoying wonderful stories of our young lives with Carole in South Africa. Carole was very kind taking Angela & I in to her home and looked after us so well when we came to New Zealand. She introduced us to new opportunities and the kiwi. Ways we had lots of laughs and fun along the way. Thank you so much xx now you are out of pain and at peace sending love to Nick Seren and the boy’s xx

Carole, our aunty, we have lots of wonderful cherished memories and photos of holidays and time spent together with the family in NZ and Liverpool and Wales. Yes Pete, Carole was the bossiest woman ever, and she kept my dad and brother Ed on there toes, we had plenty of laughs along the way! Carole was also generous with her time and guidance especially when I emigrated to NZ, thankyou Carole. RIP Carole x Our thoughts and love are with Nick, Seren and the boys. Carole, my sister-in-law, and the bossiest woman ever, who made us laugh and was generous and kind through the seventy years that we knew each other! It was my privilege to have seen you and Lyn together when you visited us and your father Eric in Cape Town and Joburg!
