Maurice, I will miss our chats, hearing about your latest overseas adventure and whichever new 'curious' subject has got you pondering. You were a wonderfully sociable soul, with an inquisitive mind and a joyous sense of humour. May you discover many wonderful new insights on this next big adventure.

Maurice - your super 8 camera work of Gareth and Alex when they were young, inspired me to always make memories not money. Thank you. I hope you’re walking in the after life with Tina by your side now. Rest in peace. Arohanui Sarah

Farewell Maurice. I knew you quite well at one point in life through your son Gareth. I have fond memories of your incredible curiosity. In our chats I realised in you that you loved to ponder life’s mysteries and ask questions. I always appreciated this and saw you as someone with a genuinely interested soul that valued human creativity and life’s spectacles.

Although I didn’t see a lot of Uncle Maurice in recent years, the wonderful memories of his big laugh and sense of fun is still very clear in my mind. Some of his jokes were terrible but his laugh was the best! Lots of love to Alex and Gareth, and your families. Xx “ Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light. Though wise men at their end know dark is right, Because their words had forked no lightning they Do not go gentle into that good night.” By Dylan Thomas
