Sat here tonight having a drink Jon while we watch your beautiful farewell celebration. Carl worked with you at Waihi Earthmovers and struck up a friendship with you and in turn Lisa and I became friend also. Many stories and laughs and memories even from our short time , Carl is stoking the fire and has told me three stories of your time together. We loved reconnecting with you and visiting Auckland and meeting Bev and you hadn’t changed abit . You touched so many Jon and we are on that list. Your legacy lives on in your lovely family and you’ll never be forgotten. Carl and Tui x

Farewell beautiful soul. You were one of life's treasures. Met you for a moment, felt like forever. Enjoyed hearing your stories of life in Murupara and Kaingaroa. Swapping cheek when you and the oldie would banter away. Loved your little excursions with your beloved Bev and whichever wheels took your fancy that day.
