When I first went to live in Wellington, I stayed with Nance and Don in Messines Road. Nance, in particular, made me very welcome as Don was away a lot and I still remember the sherry coming out every evening! We had some great discussions between 5 and 7. I felt like I was part of the family. Whenever Chris came to visit, he was always made welcome as well. Nance was a great person who offered advice whenever she felt it was necessary and was always there to support me when I needed that too. We will miss you, Nance. Unfortunately we could not attend the funeral as we are in Fiji but we livestreamed the mass and thought it was beautiful. The prayers of the faithful were a lovely tribute to Nance and she would have been proud of the way the mass was conducted.
