Auntie Heather, I still remember an exciting childhood visit staying with you and Uncle Mick behind the drycleaners. Loved all the great memory stories on your birthday visits to Veena's. Will miss our chatty phone calls. Hope there are flowers in Heaven for you, Veena, Mum and Glory. Love from Suzanne x
I will miss our friendly chats and her amazing memory. The Curel family and the Shepherd family were neighbours many years ago in Port Albert. Heather used to take my husband for walks in his pushchair when he was little. Rest in peace Heather, you have worked very hard all your life. Enjoy the company of your dear sisters and parents.
Please accept my condolences. Heather was always a very community minded person. I remember when we first moved to Wellsford in 1966 with no family support Heather was very kind and baby sat our two young toddlers ( Rory was two and Sally was one)at times. That is the person she was very generous with her time. R.I.P. Heather
Heather, thank you for the many volunteer hours you have spent at Albertland Heritage Museum, working amongst friends and passing on your vast local knowledge. You entertained us with stories new and old. Friday will not be the same without your good humour and cheeky smile. We hope you enjoy catching up with Veena, Laurel and Glory as we know how much you missed them all. Our condolences go to Sonny & Fay and your many nieces and nephews. From your fellow volunteers and friends at Albertland Heritage Museum.
Heather, my dear friend. I thank you for your amazingly kind company as we knitted together for community each week. Your selflessness has been so inspirational. Thousands of people have warmer toes due to your famous knitted slippers. I smile as I think of your cheeky grin and "sharp as a tack" wit. Wish I could give you one more hug. Very grateful. Rest in peace, darling girl We will miss you xx
Heather l will miss your visits down to Te Puke, picking you up or dropping you off at the bus. We nieces enjoyed our visits to Aunty Bunny's where our lunch morphed into afternoon tea with stories from the Curel kids childhoods. Thank you for all the knitted slippers, you must have made thousands for your opshop. We will miss your squeaky voice and hope you are now chatting with your sisters over a cuppa. Love you Aunty Heather xxx

Heather, you are one of a kind and a shining example of a kind and compassionate person, always willing to be there for others. You knitted me clothes when I was a baby, and I remember our talks as I was walking home from school when you owned the Drycleaners. When I saw you shopping at Warkworth Pak n Save, I had no idea that it would be the last time I would see you. Rest peacefully knowing that you are loved and admired by many. Thankyou for everything you have done for others in your life. I will definitely miss seeing you and having a chat. Geoff.
