Passed peacefully on 17 July 2025, at Tauranga Hospital, aged 80 years. Treasured husband to the late Margaret and much-loved father and father-in-law to Suzanne Hampson, Darrin and Lotta Liddell. Beloved Poppa to Jasper, Oliver, Jonathan, Felix, and Matilda.
"Because of the Lord's great love, we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness."
A celebration of Barrie's life will be held at St Andrew's Presbyterian Church, Dee Street, Mount Maunganui, on Friday, 29 August at 4 pm. In lieu of flowers or gifts, the family requests that donations be made to Waipuna Hospice.

Sorry we were unable to travel north to attend Barrie's service today, but thankyou for the opportunity to be apart of the online followers. As the time passes the grief of losing a treasured family member slowly becomes less. Mostly, because we forever carry the memories we have of that person in our hearts.
