Tributes

Rest in peace, our dearest friend. You are gone but never forgotten. We will always remember you as one who not only consistenlty supplied us with your unique brand of humor, but also guided us spiritually. We will keep in our hearts the lessons you imparted and trust that you will continue to guide us from a distance, wherever you may now be. You will be truly missed, everdearest Mel. From the time the universe bonded us together in 1983 till now, our friendship remains rock-solid. We wish you happiness in your next beautiful life, till we meet again! We love you, "Mel d Boy"!

Kuya Mel, my dear brother who is very close to me. A person who I can talk about everything, a man who did not complain despite all the trials he encountered in his life, and a great motivator of my dreams. Your smile, laughter, and thoughtfulness will always be with me. I love you Kuya Mel. Soar high in heaven. Till we see each other again.

Kuya Mel, I will miss our conversations about music, food and life. Thank you for being my Kuya. Watch over us and be our angel. I love you until we meet again.

I will miss your thoughtfulness. Everytime you would know of a typhoon here in Manila you would message me and ask how we are, if we are safe. I miss your daily morning messages that I get at 2am here (of course it's already 6am in NZ). To me it's your way of letting us know that you are thinking of us and that you care. Thank you for taking the time to do these. You will always be in my heart. I know this is not goodbye. Keep on singing. Rest in peace. I love you my dear brother.

Soar high Mel. Bring our prayers to God. I shall always remember your contagious laughter and funny demeanor when you were a lot younger. Rest in the warm embrace of our Lord. Till we meet.

Kuya Mel, When we were young we used to play basketball during my childhood and honestly those were my best times of my life we were so young then. We were so proud and grows tirelessly every minutes of our young life and now we are aged we grew up to be a Man and a Father. May you Rest in Peace kuya. See you soon in Heaven.
