“My Mum and I were/are very proud of my Angeline as Margaret and I, are with the achievements of both Alice and Jessica, our NZ daughters. All of my children have done well, and are largely self sufficient in life. This is why our Mum was proud of Angeline. Zimbabwe has had over 90% unemployment rate, and its a credit to Angeline that she has been employed continuously after school days, as a legal secretary, and then operations manager for a vehicle leasing coy. Shortly after Angeline found me, I told Mum and Dad, and I was extremely glad they accepted and told me they both loved her. After my Dad died my mum continued to develop her love of her grand daughter Angeline. Angeline said “I feel just when our relationship was blooming she is now unable to communicate. I am emotional that its the loss of my heritage. I am emotional that she accepted me for me.” During Mum’s 16 yrs contact with Angeline, there have been many phone Calls / Texts. Later, they have had video calls. I am very very glad that my Mum has also been interested in her 4 great grandchildren & 1 great great grand child. Angeline’s children are an epitome of success, with her older boy fully employed, 2nd oldest is still at school, and has represented Zimbabwe in rugby, swimming and water polo & now short-listed in Olympic team. 3rd oldest boy is a real treasure. He excels in gymnastics. Shanaid is married, a mother & working. Mum was very interested to hear of their lives. The youngest boy sang happy birthday to Mum, 97, and Mum was delighted. Mum loved them all. My Mum, was a wonderful mother to us and I ask you all, please be as accepting as my Mum and Dad were. I encourage you to have integrity, courage, sensitivity, and dignity as my Mum had. Please care for one another. Thank you my, our Mother. Thank you for loving my daughter Angeline and her children. Thank you for your love to us all. from Mum’s youngest son Keith”

My condolences to family , such a shock to find out today that Jessie had passed away. So many memories with both Cliff & Jessie and the adventures they had with Mum & Dad in and around Invercargill. Cherished memories of a trip to Milford Sound in the 80’s , Cliff & Jessie were always so positive and happy. Any family members travelling through Auckland sometime , please reach out.
